Title:  Quality Control Inspector
Location:  Millcreek Township, PA
Salary Range:  $14.00 Hourly
Position:  Quality Control Inspector
Description: 
  1. Description/Duties/Responsibilities 

Perform visual, dimensional, and functional verifications on production lines (including secondary inspections where needed) by following the set documentation utilizing scales, calipers, force gauge, CMMs, etc.. Auditing of production being manufactured. Entering/filing all required documentation into set systems accurately. Reporting defective material and/or products to appropriate production personnel and Quality Manager. Backtracking of any defective product. Following retain and scrap activities. Assisting with manufacturing paperwork (having it available along with proper recording and filing out). Following set safety, GMP, ISO, and any other set requirements and encourage others to do the same. When necessary, participate in quality improvement activities, internal auditing, training, and safety committee. Fulfill any other necessary tasks assigned by the Quality Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications
  1. Requirements
  • Attention to detail.
  • Technical skills and ability to understand prints, documents, and manuals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of principles for product quality evaluation and control.
  • Ability to use inspection equipment (calipers, drop indicators, force gauges, micrometers, and CMM systems etc). 
  • Ability to follow inspection plans.
  • Knowledge of basic math and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe).
  • Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations (ISO, GMP, & safety).
  • Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to further knowledge through training (internal or external). 
  • Customer-focused.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work rotating 12 hour scheduled shifts


Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years quality experience.

Preferences
  • 2 years plastics experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
  • ISO Internal Auditor Training or Certification.
