Primary Duties:
1. Setting cavity units & discrete injection molds into molding presses and configuring the press work cell based on automation requirements, support equipment requirements, etc.;
2. Starting up injection molding machines for new molds using scientific molding techniques;
3. Working with QA staff to obtain approved production parts;
4. Monitoring processing activities to ensure optimum cycle times;
5. Troubleshooting processes as necessary to eliminate process related problems;
6. Providing guidance and instruction to production personnel;
7. Assisting with the support of production related activities (such as basic part inspection, continuous tooling and engineering improvement projects, etc.) as needed/assigned throughout

Requirements: 

Interested candidates should have at least 1 - 3 years processing experience in an injection molding environment or educational lab environment and be familiar with processing techniques related to precision plastic injection molding. Candidates should also possess knowledge of processing theory and scientific molding techniques, knowledge of engineered resins and have a working knowledge of mold setup and startup procedures. A bachelor’s degree and/or coursework in Plastics Engineering is helpful and basic computer skills are necessary. A take charge attitude with sound decision making abilities, independent work ethic and solid written / oral communication skills are also required. In addition, the position will require an individual who is organized and able to manage his/her time to meet production schedules in a systems driven environment. The ability to cooperate with others and work as a member of a team in a dynamic and fast paced work environment is essential.
